I KNOW YOU HAVE YOUR WILL POWER, PLANS, GOALS, ASPIRATIONS OR DREAMS BUT NEVERTHELESS THE WILL OF GOD SHALL STAND!!!!!!

Hello guys, how are you all doing? Hope you all are doing good. It’s been a long time. I remember the last time I posted a message here was on 2nd. September, 2013. This didn’t mean I was not having any message to post but the time to sit down to write a message wasn’t there. The inspiration for this new message came a long time ago (somewhere last year after the message entitled “is it love, lust, obsession or I just see you as a friend”) but the time to sit down and write was the issue. On 25th. July, 2014 around 14hours GMT I happen to find myself sitting by a coconut seller at a junction near Papaye in Osu, Accra-Ghana, West Africa. I’m sure you might be thinking I was buying a coconut. Then I’m sorry your guess was wrong. What the hell at all was I doing there? I believe will be your next question. You will find out at the end of the message. God has given us a will power which allows us to make our own decisions, judgement, choices, do what we feel like doing without necessarily seeking his consent. So then what is wrong with someone telling me that he or she will like to become a coconut seller in future or he or she will like to become a medical doctor in future or he or she will like to become a pilot in future or he or she will like to become a nurse in future and so on? You will find out at the end of the message. Now with this foundation in place let me start constructing the five storey building. Don’t worry I will finish very soon. It’s express!!!!!!! (the same meaning as the usage of express at the passport office) Many times we do plan our lives hoping for it to follow a line. But sometimes they don’t follow that line and you begin to wonder why? Asking yourself questions, day in and day out. Sometimes we do end up questioning God. Asking God why he allowed it to go that way knowing well that you prayed about it that is asking God to let your plans come to pass. Let’s say I just meet a friend and during a conservation I ask him or her that where do you want to see yourself in the next ten years? Then he or she begins to give me a long list of expectations. For example I will be the President of Ghana in the next ten years with assets like lands, cars, buildings, factories and a whole lot. I will be married to the most beautiful lady on the planet with four children; two handsome boys and two beautiful girls. It is a good plan, goal, dream or aspiration and the majority will go for it. What about the minority? Looking at the current state of the nation some will not like to fill the shoe of the president even if it is in the next twenty years. With a portion of a loan agreement going into sanitary pads for senior high schools, the dollar, pound, euro currencies soaring high in terms of their cedi equivalent, inflation figures flying high like an eagle, strikes upon strikes, demonstrations upon demonstrations, the economic hardships are so obvious. I don’t want to sound political but I have to give you this fact to proceed with my message. Let me sight another example. Let’s say you ask me where I want to see myself in the next ten years, I will tell you that I will be in the cockpit of a Lufthansa airliner flying to Berlin with three hundred and sixty-five passengers and six crews including myself on board (pilot). I will also be married to the most beautiful lady on the planet with six adorable children following me like the Black Stars team. That is such a wild one but it is good and the majority will go for it. Again what about the minority? There are so many reasons why the minority wouldn’t go for it and one of them is that they might die too quick. With the disappearance of the Malaysian airliner, the crashing of another Malaysian airliner, the crashing of the Taiwan airliner and the disappearance and crashing of an Algerian airliner, some will not like to venture into such a profession. But let me tell you something and that is every job is risky. Tell me the job and I will tell you how risky it is. But anyway that is not the bone of contention here. So let me get back to the topic before I get distracted. To cut the long story short, some will like to become president, pilot, nurse, doctor, engineers and so on in the next ten years and everyone will like to be somebody big in the next years. But have you asked yourself what God think about all that or you don’t even care about his thought. Then let me tell you that whether you care or not his will shall stand at the end of the day. It’s look like I’m going too far away so let me bring it close. Let’s say I ask you what is your plan for tomorrow? I expect a lot of answers like you will go to work, school, church and so on after which you will come back home and relax or go and play football, FIFA soccer game, table tennis, basket ball and so on or you will visit some friends but God can cause something different to happen that day and you will be like my plans has been messed up. God controls everything. Although sometimes your plans come through but that doesn’t mean that God has no hand in it or you are in control. God just allowed it to happen. I AM NOT SAYING THAT YOU DON’T HAVE FAITH IN GOD. No, I know with God nothing is impossible and with faith in God you will get what you want but on a condition that what you want is in the will of God. And it is not that I am not a Christian or I don’t have faith. No, I am a Christian and have faith in God. Let me teach you something small about the will of God. The will of God is in two forms. We have the perfect will of God and the submissive will of God. In simple terms, the submissive will of God occurs when you want something and you tell God and he is like that something is not good for you and you keep on persisting and God gives it to you. In that case it wasn’t his will but he gave it to you. And the consequences that come with it are so unbearable that you wish that you have not asked. But when you come back to him to give you what he wanted for you, he is always ready to give it to you which makes him forever loving and merciful and you will really enjoy yourself well after. The perfect will of God comes in when you accept what he want for you and life is really good after. It doesn’t mean that bad times will not come, they will come but he will take you out of them all. For further explanation and understanding, get yourself a Holy Bible and read the book of Numbers chapter twenty-two downwards and you will get the whole scenario. Another instance is when Jesus was going to be crucified, he prayed and said Father I wish this cup by pass me but nevertheless let your will be done. This was Jesus speaking here. I don’t want you to feel as if you are in church and I am giving you a sermon. I’m just trying to motivate you and you will see that at the end of the message. IT IS NOT WRONG TO HAVE SUCH A PLAN, DREAM, GOAL OR ASPIRATION. The question is, IS IT THE WILL OF GOD? OR IS IT PART OF GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE HERE ON EARTH? DOES THIS ALSO MEAN THAT WE SHOULDN’T PLAN OR HAVE DREAMS, GOALS OR ASPIRATIONS? Since at the end of the day God might end up doing something different according to his plans for your life. I’m using the word might because sometimes our plans do coincide with God’s plan for us. Someone once said that if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. Also the Holy Bible says that horses are prepared for battle but victory comes from the Lord. The word prepared there means that there should be some planning and hence the preparation. This means that in life you should have your PLANS, GOALS, DREAMS OR ASPIRATIONS. DOES THIS ALSO MEAN THAT WE SHOULDN’T PRAY ABOUT OUR PLANS, GOALS, DREAMS OR ASPIRATIONS? Since God’s will shall stand at the end of the day no matter the prayer. And you say to yourself that “WHAT CAN COME CAN COME” as Ayertey Powers said and was beaten miserably by Bukom Banku. In this case the devil will come in and destroy your plans, goals, dreams or aspirations for you. So you should still pray about your plans, goals, dreams or aspirations so that the good Lord who has began the good work in you can take it to a successful end still looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith!!!!!!!!!! Let me say something small about future career or profession or job. For example, somebody’s future career or profession or job is to become a pilot or medical doctor or nurse or an engineer. Then it should be something that you are passionate about, something you don’t struggle doing, something you feel comfortable with, something you like and above all you love doing. I'm not saying give up on your PLANS, GOALS, DREAMS OR ASPIRATIONS but just make sure it is in the will of God.That's all!!! About the coconut seller, I was just sitting there watching how he was selling the coconut intermittently, saying to myself that if that was my job, first of all I will be struggling, secondly by the end of the first week I would have lost all my left fingers, thirdly by the end of the third week I would have lost my left hand, fourthly by the end of the month I would have lost my left arm because I can’t cut the coconut the way he is doing it. I was also equally writing today’s message as I sat there and that is how I got the time to write today’s message entitled “I KNOW YOU HAVE YOUR WILL POWER, PLANS, GOALS, DREAMS OR ASPIRATIONS BUT NEVERTHELESS THE WILL OF GOD SHALL STAND”. As a motivator and counsellor, what I think is best is for us all is to add God’s will, plan or purpose for our lives to our will power, plans, goals, dreams or aspirations. Whatever they are, always say God willing and remember the will of God shall always stand!!!!Should your will power, plans, goals, dreams or aspirations coincide with God’s will or plan or purpose for your life, accept it and move on. Should your will power, plans, goals, dreams or aspirations not coincide with God’s will, plan or purpose for your life, accept it and move on. After asking God your plans, goals, dreams or aspirations, requests, needs, wants and so on in a form of prayer let this be your final words FATHER NEVERTHELESS LET YOUR WILL BE DONE CONCERNING MY LIFE IN JESUS NAME.AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!
